Having your dog professionally groomed is about so much more than just keeping them looking their best. Grooming is an important part of wellness care, too, an essential step in keeping your canine companion feeling their best. At Cliftwood Animal Hospital, we provide professional breed-specific grooming as well as non-specific grooming services. Whether your dog needs a bath and blowout, a nail trim, or something else, choose Cliftwood Animal Hospital for dog grooming in Sandy Springs.

Meet Our Groomer

Maryann Heffelfinger is our professional dog groomer and provides grooming services every Monday. Since she’s here just one day a week, appointments are strongly recommended. Throughout the rest of the week, Cliftwood Animal Hospital staff provides basic and medicated baths and dips for pets who don’t require trims.

Maryann became a groomer after receiving her first show dog, a Standard Schnauzer, in 1999 and now has extensive experience with all breed-specific cuts. Maryann spent several years under the mentorship of a Master Groomer, and today, she has the knowledge and skills necessary to provide expert grooming services to all of her clients. She is very gentle with pets and gives each dog personal attention and loving care. Making her clients and pets happy is very important to Maryann, and she takes as much time as necessary for each grooming session.
In addition to your dog’s groom, she will clean out their ears, express their anal glands, and trim their nails. She also provides hand stripping for wire-coated breeds by request.

Maryann is involved in the community through a local Kennel Club. She served on the Board of The Sawnee Mountain Kennel Club and later became president. She loves all breeds and types of dogs and wanted to help the AKC facilitate the welcoming of mixed breeds to participate in Obedience, Rally, and other events. Not only that, but she even succeeded in making the Swanee Mountain Kennel Club the first AKC club to hold the event in the United States.
