Dr. Mallikarjuna Reddy Pabbidi

Veterinarian and Owner

Dr. Mallikarjuna R Pabbidi (Dr. P), grew up in India and moved to the United States in 2003 with a passion in animal medicine. After graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine in India, he completed PhD in 2007 at Southern Illinois University, Springfield, IL. While being a faculty at University of Mississippi medical center, Jackson, MS, in Department of Pharmacology, Dr. P obtained ECFVG certification to practice veterinary medicine in USA. He learned veterinary practice clinical skills at LSU, School of veterinary Medicine as a PAVE student and worked at various public and private animal hospitals with a focus on small animal medicine and surgery. Dr. P strongly believes in Benjamin Franklin’s famous quote “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” who emphasizes on preventive care and with special interests in soft tissue surgery, dentistry and urgent care. After purchasing the Cliftwood Animal Hospital, Dr. P learned the art of reproductive medicine helping breeders in determining the optimal time for insemination, collection and analysis of semen, freezing, maintenance and shipping of semen. Dr. P performed several artificial inseminations using manual and surgical methods with great success. Besides, he is experienced in determining pregnancy using ultrasound, and meticulous in performing C- section without complications to the mom and puppies. Dr. P is an active member of American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) and Society of Theriogenology. He is married with a daughter and a son and enjoys spending free time with his family playing table tennis and hiking.

Dr. Rebecca Kestle

Veterinarian

Dr. Rebecca Kestle is a Georgia native who completed her BS in biology at West Georgia University and then moved on to receive her DVM from The University of Georgia in 1985. During her time in vet school, Dr. Kestle developed an interest in Akitas and began to breed and show them. Over the years Dr. Kestle has gained a tremendous amount of understanding and knowledge of small animal illness and treatment. Additionally, with her experience in breeding Akitas, she has become an expert in reproductive medicine (for all breeds), whelping and neonatal puppy care. Zoetis has recognized Dr. Kestle as an agent for PennHIP certification and frozen semen maintenance.

Dr. Kestle is a founder of the Dogwood Akita Club of Georgia and helped start the Greater Atlanta Labrador Retriever Club. She is also an active member of the Akita Club of America and The Atlanta Kennel Club. Her success as a breeder and exhibitor of Akitas has resulted in over 30 champions. With this background and understanding of the special needs of maintaining the health and stamina of a show dog, many breeders in the south also use Dr. Kestle as their veterinarian of choice.

After practicing in the Atlanta area for almost 20 years Dr. Kestle purchased Cliftwood Animal Hospital in 2012 and practiced until 2024. Recently in August 2024, Dr. Kestle sold the clinic to Dr. Pabbidi. To keep her clients engaged with the clinic Dr. Kestle is working two days a week.

Anna Wege

Veterinary Assistant

Anna has been working at Cliftwood Animal Hospital since 1989. Anna is dedicated to providing top quality care to all of our patients and we like to say she is the hardest working technician and pays attention to detail. Anna enjoys archery, kayaking, hiking and reading. She also provides homes for at least three of the abandoned cats that have been left in our care.

Eddie is from Atlanta, GA and recently joined the Cliftwood Animal Hospital team! He has worked in the veterinary industry for 15+ years. He shares a love of reproductive veterinary medicine, and he enjoys breeding American Bullies in his free time.

Natalie Mooney

Veterinary Assistant

Natalie is originally from Burbank, California and started working at Cliftwood in
September 2024 as a veterinary assistant. Natalie has always loved animals starting at
a young age and has always had dreams of working in veterinary medicine. In her free
time, she loves spending time with her children, her husband, and her cat, Zaxby.
Natalie enjoys working the front desk, helping in the kennels, and learning tech and
reproductive work with a goal of becoming a veterinary technician.
