From diagnosing illnesses to monitoring baseline values to watch for early warning signs of problems, laboratory testing serves numerous purposes. Dr. Pabbidi and Dr. Kestle can determine a lot about your pet’s health by simply performing a hands-on physical examination. That isn’t always enough, though. In many situations, doctors rely on laboratory tests to get a clearer picture of what’s going on with an animal’s health. We offer in-house laboratory services for pets in Atlanta and are here to provide the high-quality veterinary care your beloved dog or cat needs and deserves.

Our Testing Capabilities
Our in-house laboratory enables us to perform intestinal parasite screening, serum chemistry (tells about the internal organ function such as liver and kidney), hematology (tells about the blood cells number and function), canine pancreatic SNAP tests, Parvo and Giardia SNAP tests, urinalysis, ultrasound and X-Ray. We also offer a standard snap heartworm test. This test also screens for three of the most common tickborne diseases. From checking your pet’s blood to assess organ function and watch for concerning changes to analyzing unusual lumps and bumps to checking for intestinal parasites, we do it all. Because we run most tests in house, we can usually obtain results within an hour or, at the very least, by the end of the day. When we cannot complete tests in house, we send the samples to the University of Georgia or another veterinary approved laboratory. If we need to send your pet’s samples out, we will discuss this with you before proceeding.
